So, it has been over a year since we have updated our blog. We are apparently not very good bloggers. A lot has happened over the past year but one of the most recent happenings was our trip to Washington DC. Here are a few pictures of the trip. We had an awesome time and walked a lot of miles!

we recently took a trip out to oklahoma city visit aaron, amy and campbell. it was our first time meeting little campbell. it was really great to visit and get to hold the newest edition to the family. she is the first official niece/grandchild to the woolsey family. we had a great time. its always nice hang out with family that you haven't seen in a while. here are some pictures of from our trip (well pictures of campbell of course!)

well for those of you who didn't know we had started a little summer project. we decided to build a patio in the backyard because we just had a little 4x4 foot slab. it was an ongoing project but we are finally done. we had a lot of help from family. especially my mom and dad and stacey's brother. here are some pictures.

Mini & Vacation

on may 8th i ran my first mini marathon here in indy with my dad. the indianapolis mini marathon is the largest mini in the country with over 30,000 people participating. it was fun to run it with my dad for most of the race. i had to stop a couple of times and so i told him to continue if he wanted. i finished in 2:26 and i think dad finished in 2:12. it's a really fun race and im glad i did it and im glad i finished because it meant i got to go on vacation the next day.
stacey and i went on a little vacation to the western caribbean with our friends nick and heather cochran. we cruised to the Bahamas, jamaica, grand cayman, and cozumel. we had a blast and here are some pictures of the trip.

well it's been a really long time since we've posted something. The weather is finally turning warm and i'm loving it. this allows me to run outside and train for the indy mini marathon on may 8. i'm really looking forward to it because my dad is going to run it with me. he will probably beat me because if you know my dad he loves to run. although, i am struggling with the running part because stacey and i have decided to start a new workout program. you may have heard of it:

we are in the first week and let me tell you, it is intense. if your looking for a work out that will kick your butt, try this. it's 90 days of 6 days a week and hour long non stop exercises. we wanted to do something that would force us to work hard. hopefully we can stay with it!

so, it has been a really long time. i think the last time i've wrote something was when we went to ikea. Well, since then we have gone multiple times again. recently we have been really busy. this past weekend we traveled to virginia with some friends of ours (nick & heather cochran). our dear friend drew from high school got married. it was fun to visit with him and to see some friends from highschool. the wedding went of without a hitch. next weekend we will be traveling to oklahoma to visit aaron and amy. it will be stacey's first trip to okc. i keep trying to convince her to move there so maybe a visit will help. lol we are both looking forward to it because its been a while since we've seen them. plus, stacey gets to meet her distant cousins (wallace, gertie & abner) for the first time.

i have the day off today due to Columbus Day. I have go figure out what is for dinner. any suggestions????

The Past Few Weeks

things have been kinda busy the past few weeks. we have been adjusting to the new house, which we love. the best thing about it so far is having a garage. i love not having a cold damp car in the morning. i will love it even more in the winter when i don't have to scrape my windows.

this past weekend we went to IKEA. that would make it 2 times in the last 3 weeks. we went primarily with bryan and jenna jackson. it was their first time so we were excited to show them how the swedish do it
.
we spent a good 4 or 5 hours there. which is pretty easy.

we are looking forward to this weekend because the whole woolsey fam. will be together again. we're excited to spend time with everyone and to get away from work and the busy life.

Ofiicial New House!!!

well, since the last time i wrote there have been numerous changes. first of all, we found out that our offer on the house has been accepted!!! so we are extremely excited about that. we have a house. but what is even more exciting is that we have already closed on it. our original closing date was suppose to be today, well, we got a call last tuesday asking if we could close on thursday of last week. so, it was a hectic time getting everything together. but we went through the whole process and now we officially are homeowners!!! the only thing is that we don't get to move in right away. in the contract the sellers asked if we could let them have up to 6 days after closing to pack and move out. we agreed. well, since the closing got bumped up they asked for those extra days to stay in the house. we, wanted to get something out of it so we heard they were having a yard sale to get rid of some of their things. so, we got a gas powered weed eater, a chair, bar stools, a ladder and some other things. it was a good deal. we are looking forward to next monday because thats when we get the keys. stay tuned for more updates regarding the house.

A New House!!!

well we officially found out that our offer on our house has been accepted!! so, we are going to be homeowners. we are trying to close by the end of the month. which is really quick. this whole process has gone really quick considering the house was a short sale. sometimes on a short sale you don't hear whether your offer has been accepted for months. we could possibly have the whole process complete in less than a month. we both feel like it was meant to be the way things worked out. so, we could be moving in the first week of april if we close by march. stacey has told me while she is at work she has a hard time focusing because all she can do is try to figure out what color we are going to paint the rooms.

Another exciting thing is that since we are officially getting a house we are going to have to a washer and dryer. it will be fun shopping for them. to have our own brand new appliances will be nice. the house comes with all of the kitchen appliances. so, we are beginning a new phase of our lives. we are both really excited and can't wait to move in.

after some more house hunting we have found we love. so, we put an offer in and now we are waiting. the problem is that it is a short sale home. which means the owners are in pre-foreclosure and that the we will be dealing with the lenders. the bank decides to sell it for a loss, but not as much as a full foreclosure. which means a long drawn out process. it could go a couple of months before we even hear whether our offer has been accepted. The good thing is that we have a little time to spare. our apartment lease won't be up until the end of may. so we are willing to wait and give it a shot because we love it so much. i just hope everything works out for the best. we will continue to look for some homes in the mean time just so we don't waste time if it doesn't work out.

tonight we are planning on going up to muncie to visit bryan, jenna and carter. we are excited because its been a while since we've seen them. also, stacey and i plan to get our mops cut by jenna. we are desperate need of hair cuts. then we have a nice little sunday afternoon planned. after church i think we'll grab a bite to eat with nick and heather cochran. well we're getting ready to leave!

time for another update. lately stacey and i have been getting back in the hunt for a home. we started last year but we felt like the timing wasn't the best. so, now that our lease on our apartment will be up at the end of may we decided to start looking. this past weekend was quite an experience. we looked at 5 houses and only liked one. we actually loved it. we had decided to wait and look at some more this weekend and take a second look at the one loved. well, the house has been on the market since august so, we were thinking no one would make a move this week. well, of all weeks someone put an offer in sunday night after we looked at it. we really didn't want to let it go. so after some deliberation we decided to throw in an offer. well needless to say we didn't get the house. it was disappointing but it was a little bit of a relief because we didn't know if we were moving too fast but we absolutely loved the house. we were in a pickle. it wasn't meant to be and everything happens for a reason.

we are looking forward to this weekend because my parents are coming down depending on the weather. ryan and lindsay are moving into their house. mom and dad are staying with us. we'll have to play them in wii sports.

two weekends ago stacey's mom and dad came down to visit and they stayed with us sat. night. we introduced them to wii bowling and wii tennis. it was fun hanging out with them as usual!

So it has been a long time since we updated. We're welcoming the new year with excitement and anticipation. Stacey has officially started her busy season at work. That means working 65-70 hours a week and working every saturday from now until the end of April. After busy season we are planning on going to three weddings this summer and to possibly go to St. Louis, MO to catch a Cardinals game. Also, we have been playing around with the idea of buying a house. We haven't pinpointed an area. The area would depend on where I will be job wise. I have been thinking about a job change. Our lease on our apartment is up the first part of May so thats when I guess we will have to make a decision. So now I am going to leave you with some pictures of Christmas at Stacey's parents house. Thanksgiving

Our first Thanksgiving together as a married couple!!! Unfortunately we were not able to make it to Michigan for Thanksgiving, so instead we spent the day decorating for Christmas. It was a fun day spent together getting ready for the upcoming holiday. The rest of the weekend was spent with Stacey's family. We went to the Lion King Friday night and then had our Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday at her brother's house. All in all, the first Thanksgiving together turned out to be a fun and relaxing one.

Relaxing Weekend

So this weekend has been a long time coming and much needed. Stacey and I had extra time off we have to use before the end of the year so we decided to take Friday and Monday off. It was fun and productive. We finally got our Indiana drivers licenses on Friday. Saturday we hung out and watched football all day. Although, Stacey was doing a lot of studying because she is taking her first CPA test this thursday. Saturday night was fun for me. I had the opportunity to go to an Indianapolis Ice game. I had never been to a hockey game before and let me tell you they are a lot of fun. We sat in the front row right next to the penalty boxes. I definitely want to to go to more games. Next weekend should be fun because it is Taylor Homecoming and Stacey is going to play in the alumni volleyball scrimmage.

Hello! Well I write this as I am sitting at work. Shhh, don't tell anyone. So its Friday and as always we're looking forward to the weekend. Tonight especially because Stacey and I are hanging out with one, of our 3 couple friends. lol. We are hanging out with Ryan Gregory and Kelsey Randall. I believe we are going to go to B-dubs then hang out at our place; it should be fun since we haven't hung out with them yet. Also, this weekend is the infamous battle between the Fighting Irish and the Michigan Wolverines. This year it should be a even matchup because both teams are not very experienced. Although, there might be some feuding because of the roots of the Jackson family and the roots of the Woolsey family. I can't wait. Ryan and Lindsay I think are going to come down to watch the game which will be fun. The only bad thing about this weekend is that I have to work on Saturday but only for 4 hours. We look forward the weekends because they are a time to just spend time with each other because we have different schedules.

First Official Blog

Well hello everyone. We've decided to start a blog because it seems like everyone else has one. Plus, it's a good way to keep in touch and to update everyone on what is going on. Well, Stacey and I now live in Indianapolis on the South side. Don't worry we aren't gansters we live in a nice area. It has been a whole two months since the ole' wedding. So far so good. We love married life. It has been a pretty cool transition going from living with all guys for the past 5 years to living with your wife!! Stacey started her job about 2 months ago and has been really busy with that and studying for the CPA exam. She is working at an Accounting firm called BKD, which is located downtown. She has had a couple of weeks where she's traveled to muncie but hasn't stayed overnight so thats good. Although, her time will come. I on the other hand am still working at FORUM Credit Union. Don't know what I want to do still but I'm not too worried about it. I like it there, for now. Meaning it's not something I want to do for more than 2 years. Although, I have already been there for 1 year. Anywho, other than work we haven't been doing much of anything. We'll keep you posted on happenings along thewoolseytour.
